Wedding Ceremonies
My Promise

While some say it’s the entertainer and not the equipment that makes your event, It is important to mention that the quality of equipment brought to an event most definitely makes a difference.

The most important thing you should keep in mind is, if your choose Sounds Good it will in fact Sound Good. Your guests will hear all announcements clearly and the music will be at the appropriate volume. For those that believe the old saying, “the devil is hidden in the details", I encouraged you to read this page in its entirety.

You are planning a special event and should confirm that you are considering someone utilizing pro-level equipment. Do yourself a favor and request a copy of their equipment list. If you are not familiar with the products simply confirm with an industry professional whether or not it is truly professional grade equipment.

The defining difference is really pretty simple. The short explanation is professional equipment is designed and built for those who make a living providing audio and sound reinforcement. Pro-level equipment must be designed and built to operate reliably even in harsh touring environments because it is transported frequently and must be relied upon to perform. Pro amplifiers and speakers must have the ability to play for extended periods of time, at full volume if necessary, and sound great regardless if at low or high levels.

Consumer electronics are not given the same consideration and do not meet these standards, yet are often used by some who make claims like “state of the art" or anything else they think of to help sell their service. Be aware and be informed while making your decisions.

I have always placed a priority on quality by working exclusively with the following companies in their respective areas of expertise. The Sounds Good equipment list includes the following:

  •  Amplification by Carver Professional, PT-1800’s, PT-1250’s
  • Cables and connections by Monster cable and Switchcraft.
  • A “legal" music library managed with Apple computers, Macbook Pro’s
  • Equipment cases and racks by SKB, Gig-Rig
  • Lighting by CLS, Martin and AMDJ
  • Microphones by Shure and ElectroVoice, SM58’s, BETA87’s, N/D987, N/D787’s
  • Mixers by Pioneer Electronics, DJM-3000’s
  • Signal processors by ElectroVoice, XP-200A’s, EX-24, EQ-215’s
  • Source Units by Numark, HD-CD1’s
  • Speakers by ElectroVoice, ZX1-90’s, SX300’s, SX500’s, QRX218’s, SB122’s

All of our equipment is mounted into custom built cases for a streamlined and professional appearance. Other notable details include the fact that the bi-amplified systems we operate at every event will outperform most others. We include the use of separate amplifiers and sub-woofers specifically for the reproduction of low frequency material that is so common in much of today’s popular music.

Ask those you may be considering if they are doing the same. Many are not. Some mobile DJ companies bring a pair of speakers on stands, connected to home stereo electronics. This method never will deliver the results our clients enjoy.
